Fighting for the 15%.
Advancing research. Expanding hope. Honoring Larry.

About the Lawrence D. Toth Memorial Fund
The Lawrence D. Toth Memorial Fund was founded in 2024 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for medical research and treatment of small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). We honor the memory of Lawrence ‘Larry’ Toth, an avid fisherman, lover of 80s music, collector of Hawaiian shirts, and air traffic controller at Boston Center for over 30 years. While the majority of lung cancer patients are diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancers, only 15% are diagnosed with SCLC, and with no current cure and limited treatment options, the need for research and innovation is critical.
Larry’s legacy lives on through our mission to support clinical trials and breakthrough therapies that offer hope to SCLC patients. Knowing he could not win his battle against this aggressive disease, Larry volunteered for experimental treatment therapies and clinical trials to help researchers gain new insights that could lead to better treatment options and, someday, a cure. It is in this spirit of hope and determination that the LTMF continues to fight for the 15%.
